Walt Disney World Character Signatures

When visiting Walt Disney World, many people enjoy visiting the characters.  If this is something you feel you will enjoy, you should consider bringing along something for the characters to sign and to also bring along a camera so you can commemorate the occasion!

Here are some items you can bring along to capture the character signatures::

  • Blank Book – This could be something as simple as a notebook, or as complicated as a Disney brand signature book.
  • T-shirt – There is no shame in having your favorite character sign your favorite T-Shirt!
  • Socks – Ah, why not.
  • Cellphone Case – If you have a plain cellphone case in a lighter color, a signature could certainly bring the case some character.
Wanting something special for my son for his first collection of signatures, I decided to make him a pillowcase in a light tan color.  I felt this would be a good color to showcase the signatures.  Wanting to make the case more “Disneyesque”, I added three buttons to form a Mickey Mouse figure.

We packed the pillowcase and took it along with a sharpie black pin to the parks.  The item was very small and easy to carry with us to the parks.  My son really enjoyed collecting the signatures.  Since this first vacation,, he has regularly packed the pillowcase for our vacations to Disney.  He regularly puts it on the pillow he will sleep on when we arrive at the hotel.

If making a pillowcase is not your style, Wal-Mart sells similar pillowcases 2 for $5.50.  The purchase of these cases allows for many signatures and years of fun to come as you admire the signatures.

    Neat idea!

Make sure you let us know what the end result with all of the signatures is. 🙂

I will do it. I have my small book packed to help support the signatures. Should be interesting.

We have gotten 2 signatures. There is one on either side of where he lays down his head. He likes it that way… Minnie on one side, Mickey on the other. No need for any other signatures according to my son. Maybe he will want more later?

Great idea! I’d purchsed pillow cases, photo mattes from the dollar store, t-shirts, hats for our upcoming trip for the older kids to do. Now it’s just my little ones so I don’t know what they’ll want to use or how well it all works. I was told to get the circular rings for like needlepoint to help hold the fabric tight for the characters while signing.

The pillowcase has worked well. My son got Minnie and Mickey’s signatures, one for each side of the pillow. We brought a book with us that we had packed for us to read together on the flight. Glad we had those but really, we needed that ring you spoke of because both characters made motions to pull the fabric tight. Funny, he only wanted those two signatures. We got back to the room and put it on the room’s pillow and he said, I feel like Minnie and Mickey are watching Stacy with me! Too funny!

Such a great idea! I haven’t seen people in the parks do that, but one time I saw someone with a handmade picture frame so that each character could sign it and at the end put a picture. I thought that was neat. But I love your idea, it’s so creative.

Wow, a photo frame would need to be rather large! The characters have trouble writing small, or at least the ones I got to sign the case did.
