Children love going to Disney World and what better time to splash in some lessons than while in the parks and everyone is having a great time? Of course, as a parent, there are always lessons to teach your children no matter where you are but in Disney World, there are many attractions specifically designed to educate. Carousel of Progress – While this attraction does not appear to be educational, it actually is quite educational. The show begins in spring at the turn of the century showing the newest introductions such as the gas lanterns, hand-cranked washing machines and a gramophone. The show continues visiting the 20’s, 40’s and present time frame showing all of the newest in technology and introductions that shaped the lives of everyone. The show truly helps to better understand the changes that have occurred in the last 100 years in an intense demonstration through a show using one endearing family.
Hall of Presidents – While in the park, be sure to visit the Hall of Presidents where you can see every president of the nation. In addition to seeing the Presidents, everyone can learn a bit about how America formed and began the nation it is today.
Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable – Located in the Land Pavilion is an attraction that features a film with the characters Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King. The film demonstrates the need for being environmentally consciences in our decisions to help decrease issues such as deforestation, endangerment of species, and pollution.
One Man’s Dream – Go to this attraction soon because it has been rumored that it may be closing. This includes an interactive gallery featuring memorabilia from the Disney archives. Following a walk through the gallery, you can also experience a film which features Walt Disney discussing his professional life that eventually lead to Disneyland. Some of the more entertaining pieces in the film includes the opening of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Flights of Wonder – Come enjoy an entertaining show to learn from the trainers of many species of birds as they introduce you to the fascinating natural behaviors and often humorous talents of at least 20 species of exotic birds. Here are some of the bird types in the show you get to see:
