If you have ever researched or been to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, you know that getting your child dressed as a Disney Princess for the day can cost nearly $200!  In fact, here are the details of the Castle Package:

The Castle Package (starting at $189.95 plus tax)

  • Hairstyling
  • Shimmering make-up, face gem
  • Princess sash and tote
  • Nail polish
  • Complete costume of your choice plus accessories
  • One 6″ x 8″ and four 4″ x 6″ photos in a princess-themed holder

If you look at Disney’s menu of available services for the Boutique, you will find that this expensive package is the only one that includes a costume!

How to Save Some Money:

But what do you do if your child absolutely would love to become a Disney princess while in the parks?  Here is what you can do:

  • Head to the Disney Store online to select your costume.  They range from $29.99 to @$50.  Here is a Snow White costumes found on Amazon are around $30!:

  • Once you get to Disney, you can choose to do your child’s hair in the room before heading to the parks.  There are many Youtube videos detailing how to do your child’s hair in the Disney signature bun they give to all of the Boutique goers.  Once you get to the Youtube site, search for “How to Disney Princess Hair”.  Perhaps you can practice the style before you go to the parks to make this process go more smooth!
  • If you want to instead have your child go to the Boutique, you can get the Coach Package.  Here is what this package includes:

  • Princess sash and tote

This will land you and your little Princess at spending under $100 for the day’s fun outfit (if you head to the Boutique) or less than $50 if you do not go to the Boutique.  If these costs are still too steep, you should instead consider making your own version of your child’s favorite costume!
