Name of Attraction:
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
The Recruitment Center for the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom takes place right on Main Street. You will find the Center located to the right of Guest Services in the Fire Hall. Once there, you will be asked to present your park key. You will be given a key, a map and 5 play cards. The use of your park key will help to ensure that should you return to the Magic Kingdom without your key, you can receive a replacement card so you can continue your missions without having to restart. Once you have your items, you are invited to learn to play with their simulator in the Fire Hall. A Cast Member will assist you in this, answering any questions you may have on the game. Remember, each party in the group is allowed to get their own set of cards. This is particularly important if you are a collector of the cards!
The game itself is a role-playing game featuring many of your favorite and not-so-favorite Disney characters. With key, map and cards in hand, the journey begins with each group of guests learning the tricks of the keys and the cards. You will learn that the key will open the game for play when you approach the MK symbol as shown here:
Once you have unlocked the game, you are greeted with a storyline using some of your favorite characters. You will be invited to use your map and a variety of clues to defeat an army of Disney villains. The use of the best play card will help to defeat the villains. Families, children and individuals will appreciate seeing over 60 Disney characters in the 95 minutes of new animation specifically made for this featured game! Be sure to check this out when you visit the Magic Kingdom!
Opinion or personal story about the Attraction:
This game is great for anyone who is a regular gamer. People really appreciate collecting the cards for the game and seeing their characters in a whole new light. For instance, guests love seeing Rapunzel use her HAIR to defeat villains! Who knew hair could be so vicious!
My son and I have played the game on several occasions. During our times in the park, we head straight to the Fire House to get our packet of cards. When playing, we have noticed that some people use card collecting book holders to hold their Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards. This helps keep the cards unbent during game play.
During our several visits to the parks, we have quite a collection of the cards. We even have several duplicated cards. Here are the extra cards we have: 11 18 19 23 25 26 28 31 32 35 36 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 48 52 53 55 56 57 58 59 60. The cards we are missing are:2, 3, 9, 13, 17, 20, 22, 33.
If you are interesting in trading one of the cards we are missing for one that I have extra, please contact me at contact (at) meetthemagic.com.
