The Springfield: Home of the Simpsons in Universal Studios Orlando offers great entertainment and joy for Simpsons fans. There are many details available to enjoy while at Universal Studios. My son has long been a Simpsons fan and always must visit this section of the park for a designated few hours when we go to Orlando, Florida.
To begin his Springfield: Home of the Simpsons tour, we always first begin with a ride on the Simpson’s Ride. Here is Universal’s official description of the attraction:
“Grab a seat with The Simpsons™ on a virtual reality roller coaster ride. As the journey begins, someone is sabotaging Krustyland, Krusty the Clown’s low-budget theme park, and you’ll smash and blast through the park with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie in an over-the-top non-stop adventure. Don’t worry. We’ll try to get you back in one piece. The action feels so real on this indoor simulation you’re sure to let out a “woo hoo” or two. And keep an eye out for cameos from countless Simpsons characters as you soar across Springfield and beyond.”
After that wild ride, you may find yourself hungry so stop into Krusty Burger or grab a drink in Moe’s Tavern. My son’s favorite drink in the park is found at Moe’s and is called a Flaming Moe. This drink bubbles and fizzes. For the price of approximately $10, you also keep the Flaming Moe souvenir cup. Inside the Tavern, you will find many of the features you see on the Simpsons television show to include the Love Tester machine and the jukebox.
Be sure to look in the theme park guide so you can plan your visit with the Simpson’s Characters. The lines for visiting with them is usually fairly short and very worth it.
There are many other details in this section of the park such as the Kwik E Mart, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck and Suds McDuff’s Hot Dogs. Next time you are in Universal Studios Orlando, be sure to set aside some time for this great section of the park!
