For those who visit Disney World, you know that there is quite a bit of traffic on the roads around the theme parks and the Disney Resorts. Disney has done what they can to accommodate the ever-growing guests that come to enjoy their theme parks with offerings of rides from one Disney location to another by monorail, boat, bus and ferry. However, even with all of those the waits for a bus from one place to another can take 30 or more minutes.
To assist, Disney has made the decision to also introduce the Skyliner Transportation System. The system will use the sky to travel from select Disney resorts to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here is the artist rendering for the Epcot station:
Each of the stations will vary in design. The above shows the design of the Disney Skyliner station at International Gateway at Epcot. This one is inspired by the park’s nearby European Pavilions and will be reminiscent of the early 19th century Art Nouveau style.
The design for the Disney’s Hollywood Studios station will easily fit with the themeing of the park’s main entrance and bus stations. The stations for the Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be themed with the same whimsy as found at each resort.
The opening dates for this new Transportation System has not yet been released.
