Last year, I traveled with my sister and my two nieces, ages 1 and 2 at the time, to the Magic Kingdom. This was my nieces’ first trip to the Magic Kingdom so I felt very excited to be there during her first trip ever to my favorite place!
While there, the older of the two really had an immediate love for the parks. She was happy the entire day, taking in the details. Throughout the day, we found that she definitely had her favorite attractions. So without further ado, here is the must do list for toddlers at the Magic Kingdom:
- The Enchanted Tiki Room – The colors and movements of the birds is very enjoyable to small children. Children love to clap along with the music, making them feel a part of the show. If you have never seen the show, there is one scene where the lights go down low, then flash simulating lightening. There are also sounds of thunder. This goes on for about 10 seconds and can sometimes scare small children.
- Prince Charming Regal Carousel – Children love a carousel and this one does not disappoint! Who doesn’t love doing circle after circle with a view of Cinderella Castle!
- The Country Bear Jamboree – This was the ultimate coolest attraction for my 2 year old niece. She was complete asleep when we go to the Jamboree. After the show began, the music started and my niece opened her eyes and looked around and immediately had a wide smile on her face. She absolutely loved that attraction!
Overall, it was absolutely fantastic to get to be at the Magic Kingdom with toddlers. Seeing the attractions through the eyes of small children is extraordinary and such a unique experience. I so often hear that children will not remember being at the parks so why bring them. However, I believe anytime you get to bring such joy to a child and be provided the ability to spend time with them, take advantage!
