LEGOLAND Water Park for a Splashing Great Day

Legoland Water Park

LEGOLAND Theme Park is located only 45 minutes from Disney World in Winter Haven, FL.  The park is pristine and packed with excited children and parents.  Opened in 2012, the water park has many great attractions for the entire family.  On our last vacation to LEGOLAND, my family was able to experience this Water Park.  The day was 88 degrees and by the 1:00 PM time we arrived at the Water Park, we were overjoyed at the thought of getting in the water to cool down.

The Water Park is located on the opposite side of the park from the entrance to LEGOLAND.  When visiting, we decided to take advantage of the shorter lines in the morning to ride a few of the great attractions found along the walk path to the Water Park.  On the day we visited, LEGOLAND opened at 10 AM, while the Water Park opened at 10:30 AM.

Once we arrived at the Water Park, we changed clothes in the changing rooms, then rented a locker for the day.  I was glad that these were the type of lockers you can open and close throughout your day as we kept needing to get things from the locker (like additional sunscreen!)

After eating lunch at the Beach N Brick Grill, located in the Water Park, we wanting to get cooled off quickly and allow our food to settle.  As such, we all headed to the Legoland Build A Raft River.  This was so relaxing and fun, we actually went around the attraction twice.  The River was not too crowded, making the experience relaxing.  For my son, he really enjoyed collecting LEGO pieces for this raft.  As we moved through the water, he found more and more bricks to create a really cool brick wall that helped him stay out of the sun!

After riding in the raft, we decided a bit of excitement was in order and we headed to some of the water slides.  We found that there was a good variety of water slides available as well, no matter the age of the family member!

To round up the day, my son played in the Joker Soaker while the rest of us relaxed with an adult beverage.  By the time we left, the temperature of the day was cooling down.  We changed back into our clothes and headed back over to the LEGOLAND Theme Park for more great attractions.  To learn more about the LEGOLAND Theme Park attractions, be sure to read here.  For a map of the LEGOLAND Water Park, click here so you can plan your day’s fun!
