Many of us have been to Disney World many, many times. But in going to the parks, I find I often overlook some of the attractions simply because they are not as advertised or mentioned as others. One day strolling around with my sleeping son, I came upon one of my favorite “finds”, Town Square Exposition Hall!
Town Square is the location of Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. I have only eaten at this restaurant one time and it was a disaster. That is another story, but while waiting there for a table I meandered around and saw so many neat things! There are loads of displays of older cameras made by Kodak (the sponsor) and a store that sells many items, including Kodak products. But as you make your way past the store and to the back of the Hall, you find that there are many tables and chairs for guests to sit at and relax. It makes me think what great AIR CONDITIONED place to hang out for a snack or packed lunch in the heat of the summer or in the crowd of the winter!
As you move further past the tables, you will turn a corner to find that there is also a theater there! The theater, Town Square Exposition Theater, is typically showing a classic Disney cartoon and is EMPTY! The seats are plentiful, the area quiet and comfortable. I found this area to be perfect for a sleeping baby! I loved seeing the movies and better yet, posing for these photos with the cartoon cutouts:
It is definitely worth the short walk to the back of Exposition Hall to this theater to see if it is open as I understand that it is going through a refurbishment right now. There are even rumors that it will include a meet and greet! Even if it does not change at all, it is definitely an extra bit of magic!
