Meet the Magic loves to help readers find free things to do while in Disney World. There are a wide variety of free activities outside the Disney theme parks that can be appreciated and during the holiday season, there is no exception!
Here is the list of activities to participate in on your holiday visit to Walt Disney World that are FREE:
- Visit the various Disney resorts – each Disney resort loves to decorate for the holiday season in their own style. Be sure to make a list of the resorts you most want to visit during this season and plan on seeing each. It may even be a good fit for your family to try to also have a meal in the resort while visiting! Be sure to make any dining reservations needed.
- Visit Fort Wilderness Campground – Many of the camping spots found in Fort Wildness Campground decorate their tents or motor vehicles and grounds. Most of the more elaborately decorated spots can be found close to the Trail’s End Restaurant. It is certainly a lot of fun seeing these individually decorated locations.#1 Wilderness Lodge Christmas Tree
- Visit Downtown Disney for Scheduled Entertainment – Be sure to request a schedule of the day’s entertainment at one of the Disney Resorts. The location houses many great singers and performers, free of charge! Also, while in Downtown Disney, be sure to look for Santa. Nothing like visiting Santa to make sure he remembers you have been a good boy/girl that year!
- Visit the Gingerbread House Figures – At the Contemporary Resort, find a 17-foot tall gingerbread tree. At the Grand Floridian Resort, you will find a 16-foot tall gingerbread house which takes over 400 hours to construct annually! While there, you can purchase a piece of gingerbread to try for yourself as well!
These are among the most popular ways to celebrate the Christmas holidays at Walt Disney World for FREE! If you have other great ways you enjoy celebrating while in Disney World, please message us here so others can also enjoy them!
