If you’re such a big Disney fan like me and you absolutley adore the Princesses, than the biggest dream would be to celebrate your wedding like one of the Disney Princesses would :). And if you got engaged at Disneyland Paris it is out of the question not to use Disney as a theme at your wedding. Well, and as I’m a really huge Disney fan, I simply had to incorporate Disney into our wedding. Having our wedding at a Disney Park was sadly not an option at all, as we are from Germany – it simply would have been to expensive. Unfortunately, Disneyland Paris does not offer any Wedding Packages, such as are available at Walt Disney World, Disneyland or at a Disney Cruise. So I had to find other possibilities to put a Disney touch to my wedding. Of course, I had also to be very careful, as to not theme our wedding too much Disney, I wouldn’t want to scare my “husband-to-be” off so quickly ;). I wanted it to be more subtle. While some brides start with guest lists and invitations, I started with my wedding gown. As it happens, shortly before the engagement took place, I read about an American designer, who designed wedding gowns inspired by Disney’s Princesses – Alfred Angelo. I was determined to find a store in Germany that sells these gowns. Luckily, I found one, a two-hour drive away from my home town – and I tried them all, from Ariel to Cinderella.
They are the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen! And at the end I decided on the Tiana inspired gown. So I’ve got the most important part of my wedding to be Disney themed! When my guests saw me in this amazing dress on my wedding day and they saw how classy and beautiful and not at all kitschy it was, they were overwhelmed – even the ones, who did not like Disney at all (I know!!!! ;)).
To save money, always ask about the gowns from last year’s collection – they’re as beautiful as the new ones, but much cheaper!

Tell me, would you like to read more about how I put a Disney touch to my wedding? Because I did not stop at the wedding gown ;).
