Welcome to those of you joining me from Cooking with Mickey and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 5th stop on our Magical Blogorail.
There are so many nighttime shows to love and enjoy when vacationing at Disney. Not only are there 3 shows available in Disney World, but there are also another 2 available in Disneyland. As you may recall from a past Magical Blogorail post, the job I most wish I could take was as the Mickey Mouse high above the crowd at Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. The crowd at this point in the show is extremely pumped up after Mickey defeating all of the villains from his nightmare and he is shown as being triumphant! What a rush it would be to be so high above the roaring crowd of Disney fans!
Ironically, I do not believe that this is my favorite nighttime show. Instead, I choose from the Disneyland Parks available nighttime shows. I believe that this decision comes as a result of a “grass is always greener on the other side” sort of attitude since vacations to Disneyland are far and few between when compared to the number of visits per year to Disney World.
When vacationing in Disneyland, I found it to be crazy that a nighttime show required guests to get a fast pass for the experience. On my first day at California Adventure, I did not see the need to get the fast passes to the World of Color until it was too late to receive the passes. I was told that there was no way I could see the show without the pass. Defeated, I had dinner and enjoyed a few attractions while the first showing of World of Color was experienced by many others. With renewed vigor, I headed to the World of Color for the second showing without fast passes and found that there was absolutely no problem getting in to the show! The show was beautiful! I watched every colorful scene with awe. The next night, I returned to see the show again and still did not have fast passes. For this second viewing I took video. See what you think!
Thank you for joining me today. Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:

The show seems amazing! I would love to see it someday. Thanks for the post.
I was super skeptical when I went to see World of Color. I mean, standing around staring at a very big fountain? Not even the Epcot fountain can capture my attention. BUT. WOW. I mean, ZOMG. World of Color is HANDS DOWN the best nighttime show at domestic Disney Parks. It’s getting me all caps-locky just thinking about it!!
Funny, I too was very skeptical. I thought, here comes another Fantasmic… I hope I am not sitting too close and get soaked! What a great surprise though!
Can’t wait to see World of Color for the first time in December!
Ah, wish I could meet you all there:)
