Disney offers many transportation options, including boats, trains, monorail and bus. One of the often overlooked adventures are the walkways or the boat ride between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios or vise versa. If you plan on heading to Hollywood Studios from EPCOT, you will find the walkway and boat ramp entrance as you walk passed the International Gateway which is located between the France and United Kingdom Pavilions.
If you plan on walking between the parks, you need to know that the walk between the parks is approximately 1.3 miles. Of course, if you get tired of walking, you can always hop aboard the boat and ride the remaining way to the theme parks. Should you choose to take the boat between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, you are looking at a 45 minute to hour ride. Along the ride between the parks, you will make stops at the Swan & Dolphin, at the Yacht & Beach Club, and at Boardwalk. You may choose to get off at any of these stops whether you are a guest staying at these resorts or not.
At all of these locations, you can find a variety of sites, shops and restaurants. When booking your dining reservations, be sure to consider dining at one of these locations. You will often times find that you can get a dining reservation at these locations much easier than at dining locations in either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. These restaurants are also typically not nearly as crowded as those found in the parks.
The ride or walk is certainly worth the effort. Take this boat ride at dusk when the sun is setting for a beautiful and relaxing ride.
