Welcome to those of you joining me from Cooking with Mickey and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 5th stop on our Magical Blogorail. On this anniversary day of the Magical Blogorail, we are discussing our “Greatest Disney Moment”. Hope you enjoy!

Disney has made its way into the hearts of everyone in my family. This year we experienced a first, the Disney Cruise Line. We were among those that got to experience the Disney Dream with the WDW Radio group. Our cruise took sail in February/March 2011 for a 4 night cruise. The cruise set sail from Port Canaveral. We took a Disney sponsored bus from our hotel over to the Port and got to there about 2 hours before we were allowed to board the ship. Those 2 hours were the longest ever. I walked from the back of the building to the front taking in all of the sites and wanting to board the ship. Let. Us. On!
As we headed to get on the ship, I was actually shaking from the anticipation of finally getting to go on a Disney cruise with my family on a brand new ship. As we walked on the ship, our names were announced by one of the Cast Members in grandeur that embarrassed both my husband and myself.
We headed to our room to see our virtual porthole and found the amount of space in the room was not nearly as small as I had feared. After getting settled in, we headed on to the Oceaneers Club to see if this was a place we would feel safe leaving our son. We found it to be an exciting, energetic and safe place. He was extremely enthusiastic to spend time in the Club with the other children and we were eager to let him have his time there.
We found loads of fun onboard from swimming, sliding down the Aquaduck, watching first run movies in the theater, shopping in the stores and eating pizza at midnight while watching movies on the top deck of the ship. However, my family found the highlight of our vacation to be Castaway Cay. This small island had it all! (Especially if you compare it to the previous day’s island, Nassau!) My son played water balloon games in the Oceanneers Club with friends while on the Island while my husband and I had lunch, then snorkeled to search for the Mickey and Minnie hidden along the ocean’s floor. Later all three of us played on the water slides and in the sand building sand castles. It was among one of our best days ever.
Overall, my family had a wonderful time onboard. If you have any questions about our experience on this cruise, please feel free to comment below.

I cannot wait to take a Disney Cruise! We are thinking 2013 or 2014. I read your trip reports and it definitely sounds like something our family would absolutely love!
We would LOVE to go on a Disney cruise. I’ve never even thought about cruising before (it never appealed to me) until we started watching documentaries about the Disney Cruise Line. Now, we all want to experience it!
